We are a group of friends who met whilst at uni and - we have stayed close ever since. Every year we rent a big house and chill and catch up in person. Some of us bring children if there is a room free - this house is perfect for all ages and so relaxing. It is not all 'brand new' and that helps us all enjoy the space as it is very stylish clean and comfortable. The old-world charm hooked us all

Very large house accommodation of this size with large rooms in North Yorkshire. The house is unstuffy and not 'done-up' like some are so you are not terrified if you forget to remove a shoe. The owners are casual and kind, and entirely out of sight unless needed. Wow - this house was fun! An indoor pool in the middle of winter as hot as Hades and everywhere so comfortable including beds, with some rooms having parkland views to wake up that are quite unbeatable in our opinion. You feel like you are living in the world of Jane Austen but of course our dress code let us all down. I have told all our friends to rent this place!

Hired Patrick Brompton Hall for a group accommodation staycation
We spent a week here - a group of Manchester University students who had reached the distinguished age of 60 and wanted to catch up with how we had all aged and find out if we were retired! Lots of fun, we filled the glass recycling well (the owners are teetotal so that was hilarious) and had many a swim in the pool. The dining room is wonderful - we hired our own cook as we were too lazy to cook for 15. The owners are always reachable to troubleshoot any problems, our only one was when a sheep jumped up the ha ha onto the huge lawn and wouldn't return to its humble parkland.

We held our inaugural Kundalini Yoga Training at Patrick Brompton Hall. My experience as a Yoga Trainer using the space was simply special.
Our training is highly experiential and immersive, and we wished to use this historic building and its surrounding land to facilitate a journey of awakening for the students, this was a great success. Being a family home for generations we immediately bonded with the space; there is genuine care within its walls that is reflected by Emma & Charles the owners, who were excellent hosts and supported our team throughout the retreat. I would highly recommend Patrick Brompton. Hall for retreats and trainings.

I highly recommend holding a retreat at PB Hall. Charles and Emma are your generous hosts and do all they can think of to assist you during your stay.
The house, the cottages and the grounds are all most charming and refined in a unique way. The grounds are spacious, expansive and peaceful to sit in and soak up some sunshine. It is an unusual and interesting place to hold a retreat. The studio is a special place and has a special energy which must be experienced. I have not stayed anywhere as unique in an old British kind of way and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone to run a retreat. I have lead retreats here for the last couple of years and my students are always enthused by their stay here.I would not hesitate to run many more retreats here in the future.

I hired Patrick Brompton Hall estate for a Women’s weekend yoga retreat in May 2019.
Charles and Emma are the most welcoming hosts and we all felt so at ease in their beautiful estate, which made running the weekend so easy. The beds and bedding are super comfortable and the yoga shala is beautifully equipped. The swimming pool and hot tub were great to rejuvenate our tired bodies and with so much green lush land to enjoy we had the opportunity to take our yoga practices outside. Everyone who came loved it so I highly recommend as a retreat venue for any interested retreat leaders. The journey from London by train is quick and comfortable.

As a new retreat host, I could not have been any more supported by our hosts at Patrick Brompton Hall.
The weekend started with a very informative and welcoming chat, followed by a visit to the Hall to see all the fantastic facilities and location. Everything was on hand and my mind was put at ease and I was able to plan my sessions. The weekend was splendid! My clients were so impressed with the cottages and also with the studio facilities. The ambience for a immersed weekend was just perfect. We used the grounds at 6am for a dawn session which was magical. Thank you so much for you support.

Stayed at Patrick Brompton Hall for a group family holiday.
We rented Patrick Brompton Hall for our family summer holiday . The weather was spectacular and since the house has a swimming pool and tennis court and amazing lawn/garden and views, it was hard to tempt us out into the sights and sounds of north Yorkshire even though most are close by. Everyone relaxed, the pool door is linked into the actual house and my children could swim whilst we were close by cooking or chilling. There are lots of floors and rooms to explore. I felt like 'His Lordship' for a weekend as your space is absolutely magic and I lost myself browsing in Thomas Hardy’s poems in your beautiful living room. We are booking for next year.

A massive thank you to you both for being amazing and offering us a catered yoga retreat. As hosts you share such a wonderful home. I am glad this option is available when you can facilitate. If it wasn't - I'd still hire you as a self-catering big house accommodation for my yoga retreat. Nowhere else has a yoga room like yours - it is beyond magical.

I feel so lucky that I found you for our mother's 50th birthday family gathering.
The house is spacious - enough bedrooms for us all to feel well-rested and the cool white professionally laundered sheets helped on warm August nights. The dining room is spectacular, grand in a family way - and the whole house had an air of 'comfort and chic'. The house is perfect for multi-generational use; the back stairs have a gate to prevent children using them if required. The bedrooms are well-connected for those who wish to sleep close to their young babies. We have already booked again for our dad's 60th - after we quizzed everyone. There was unanimous choice to return.
